Paul and Lucy try curling!
We invited Paul and Lucy to try a bit of curling. Audrey and I were forced to play vice and skop which was an event in itself. We did manage to even win a game thanks to both Pual's and Lucy's excellent shots. One of the photos shows Lucy's shot to the button. Some of the games were very close as you can see by the use of special measuring equipment.

First Trip up to cottage
Audrey and I ventured up to the cottage with the truck today. Temperature was 6C and as you can see the lake was still frozen. A warm front is headed out way so I expect the snow to be gone within the next couple of weeks.

New Year's 2012 - Punta Cana style
Dinner at Gran Bahia Principe Ambar. Fois Gras, Sea bass with lobster, bacon wrapped tenderloin and Mousse dessert - all very yum yum and well presented. Followed by show at the grand stand with live music, show and impressive fireworks. Great start to the year; although we did miss family and friends for the event - thinking of you all!

The family dinner that never was!
Just some pics of our family Christmas table. Unfortunately, many have had some bouts of the flu so we had to call it off. Now we just have to figure what to do with a 30 lb bird.
